Ronaldo to Real?

After win the European Champions League with Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo gave Reds fans even more reason to celebrate when he quashed rumours that he could join Real Madrid this summer by pledging his future to United. When asked by a TV reporter whether he would be leaving the club with which he has already achieved so much in his short career, Ronaldo gave the emphatic reply all Reds fans wanted to hear.

“No, no, no. I’m going to stay,” he said.

Episode 2 - 27 May 08

The dispute between Manchester United and Real Madrid over Cristiano Ronaldo was becoming increasingly bitter last night as the Premier League and European Cup winners threatened to report the Spanish club to Fifa. United insisted that the 23-year-old Footballer of the Year was "not for sale" and said: "No one should be in any doubt that Manchester United will do everything in its power to keep its best players. The facts are: the player is on a long-term contract and his registration is held by Manchester United."

Episode 3 - 6 Jun 08

'I want to play for Real Madrid, but only if it is true they are eager to pay me and Manchester United what they have been saying they will,' Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Thursday through Brazilian website Terra. 'However, it does not depend on me.' Apparently he has barred Ferguson access to Portugal's Euro 2008 camp to speak with him. This comes from fear that Ferguson will derail his dream move to Hull.
